A Very Quick Project
Updated: Oct 14, 2020
While we were in London for Free Range, I was travelling back and forth from my friend's house in Bromley, a 15-20 minute train ride from the city centre. One sunny evening I felt in danger of nodding off on my outward journey and so pulled out my phone camera, held it firmly to the window and between London Bridge and Lewisham stations I snapped 200 pictures.
I find them fascinating, south London whizzing by, but I can spend time looking at where I whizzed. They have edited into a nice book of 82 images which can be found on Blurb books: https://www.blurb.co.uk/b/9585228-lewisham-mind-the-gap . It is for sale, as is a PDF version.
What I think is great about it is because the phone was held against the rubber window seal all the way through, it was nice and level and many consecutive images join very nicely so create engaging spreads. Click on the link above to preview what I mean. Otherwise, here's a small selection of the images:
Ten minutes to snap the pix, two days to edit and layout.
